Privacy Policy
What Leap Studio collects, what it does not, and your rights. Each app also has its own privacy policy.
- Last updated
This policy covers this website and matters common to all Leap Studio apps.
Each app has its own privacy policy, listed on the legal index and linked from each project page. Where an app’s policy differs from this one, the app’s policy applies.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the developer behind Leap Studio, named on the entity details page.

What we collect
This website
No cookies, no analytics, no third-party resources. See the Cookie Policy.
Our host processes standard server request logs — IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp — as part of delivering the page.
Our apps
Our apps have no accounts, no sign-up and no login. Content you create in an app is stored on your device and is not transmitted to us.
What each app does transmit is listed in that app’s own privacy policy.
If you write to us we hold your email address and the contents of your message, for up to two years.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details.
AI
Our apps run language models on your device. Nothing you write is used to train any model. See the AI Disclosure.
Automated decision-making
We make no automated decisions about you and do not profile you.
Legal bases (EU and UK)
- Contract — processing a purchase or subscription.
- Consent — optional features you switch on that send data off your device.
- Legitimate interests — keeping our apps working and secure.
- Legal obligation — tax and consumer-law records.
Where an app processes special categories of data, that app’s policy states the additional Article 9 basis relied on.
Disclosure
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
We use the service providers listed on the Subprocessors page. We will disclose information where legally compelled to do so.
International transfers
We are in Australia. Our service providers are mostly in the United States. Transfers of personal data from the EEA are made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and from the UK under the International Data Transfer Addendum. Under Australian Privacy Principle 8 we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Retention
| Data | Retained |
|---|---|
| Content you create in an app | On your device until you delete it. Not held by us. |
| 2 years | |
| Purchase and tax records | 7 years |
| Web server logs | As retained by our host, typically 30 days |
| Analytics events (Jesus — WWJD only) | Rolling, not linked to an account |
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Requests: contact@leapstudio.dev. Free of charge, answered within 30 days.
Because we hold no directly identifying information about app users, we are often unable to locate records relating to a specific individual.
- US residents: US State Privacy Rights
- UK residents: UK Addendum
Children
Our apps are not directed to children. See Children’s Privacy.
Security
See the Security overview.
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme. Where the GDPR applies we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware.
