US State Privacy Rights
Notices required by California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other US state privacy laws.
- Last updated
This supplements our Privacy Policy for residents of US states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others as they take effect.
We apply the protections below to everyone in the United States rather than checking which state you are in.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than those permitted without a right to limit.
Content created in our apps is held on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Sensitive personal information
We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it.
- Religious beliefs. The content of questions and answers in Jesus — WWJD is not transmitted. Analytics events are limited to structural facts about a session.
- Health information. Handled on the device by Best Dad and by Cloister AI’s optional Apple Health feature. None is transmitted to us.
- Precise geolocation. Not collected. Auto Brightness Clock uses reduced accuracy and sends it to Apple, not to us.
- Contents of communications. Never collected.
Sources, purposes and disclosures
Sources. Directly from you when you write to us; from your device when the app validates a subscription; from Apple as anonymised sales reports.
Purposes. Providing the apps, validating subscriptions, responding to support requests, security, and meeting legal obligations. Nothing else.
Disclosed for a business purpose to: the service providers listed on our Subprocessors page, each of which is contractually restricted to processing on our instructions.
Sold or shared: none, ever. No personal information of minors under 16 has been sold or shared, because none has been sold or shared at all.
Retention
| Data | Retained |
|---|---|
| Subscription records | Life of the subscription plus 7 years for tax |
| Support email | 2 years |
| Web server logs | Typically 30 days, by our host |
| Analytics events (Jesus — WWJD) | Rolling, per provider, not linked to an account |
| Anything you create in an app | On your device only. Never held by us. |

Under the applicable state laws you may have the right to:
- Know and access what we collect, use, disclose and retain, and get a copy.
- Delete personal information we hold.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — nothing to opt out of, but the right exists.
- Opt out of targeted advertising — we do none.
- Opt out of profiling with legal or similarly significant effects — we do none.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we collect none.

We will confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where necessary. There is no charge.

Authorised agents. May submit on your behalf with written permission; we may contact you to confirm.
